Kaplan Residence / Logan Square, Chicago

Street elevation of a current project in Logan Square. This 2,000 square foot home is a gut rehab of a hundred year old balloon frame house. Super insulated walls, radiant heating and solar thermal collectors will be used to minimize energy consumption. A new light well over the stairwell will also serve as a chimney for stack ventilation, drastically reducing the need for air conditioning during the summer season. Currently in design development.
